At UNCSA, Patrick has been having a lot of fun working on projects at the school as he makes his way through his Junior year. Patrick spent his first years getting his bearings by working on film’s and doing artisan work for shows at UNCSA. But in his third year Patrick has really stepped up his focus on being a leader within the prop shop and expanding his toolset. Last year Patrick had his first leadership oppurtunity as Lead Artisan for UNCSA’s Spring Opera “Ballymore”. Because of his hard work and leadership he was made part of the UNCSA Prop Shop’s shop staff as a Foreperson. This year Patrick is further expanding his leadership abilities as the Assistant Properties Director for UNCSA’s Winter Opera “Idomeneo”, as well as maintaining his position as a Foreperson. He has picked up many new skills in woodworking but has also been working to expand his knowledge in gadgetry and other fabrication techniques by picking up skills like blacksmithing and soldering.
